Kenneth Scarberry

August 8, 1963 - May 17, 2017

Mr. Kenneth Wayne Scarberry, age 53, husband of Janet Scarberry, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday morning, May 17, 2017 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held on Monday at 11AM at Williamsport Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Rick Points officiating.  A visitation will be held on Monday from 9-10:30AM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 8, 1963 in Carrollton, Mississippi, Kenneth was the son of the late Robert Scarberry and the late Willie Mae Bailey Scarberry. He was of the Baptist faith and most recently worked as a diesel mechanic for Stoney’s Auto-Salvage & Wrecker Service. He worked most of his life in asphalt milling, many years at D Nickell Inc. in Columbia and several years at HMA in Nashville. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening and was an excellent cook. He was a great mechanic who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by his son: Derrick Scarberry of Columbia; daughter: Amanda Scarberry (Nathan Lovett) of Columbia; brothers: Allen (Edith) Scarberry of Hohenwald, Robert (Theresa) Scarberry, Jr. of Texas, David Scarberry of Hohenwald, Richard (Warrie) Scarberry of Ohio; sisters: Lessie (Richard) Turbeville of Mississippi, Janice (Gary) Azbell of Paris, TN; grandchildren: Naomie, Lenox, and Seth Scarberry; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Nathan Lovett, Derrick Scarberry, Kyle Goins, Brandon Adcock, Adam Scarberry, and Brian Scarberry.
