Jeanne Johnson

July 12, 1937 - May 9, 2017

Jeanne Johnson age 79, a resident of Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM  Friday, May 12, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Carl May officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Jeanne was born on July 12, 1937 in Mt. Pleasant, to the late Ernest Kennedy and the late Artie Mae Brown Kennedy Scruggs.  She was a member of Berea Church of Christ, a former Pharmacy Tech for Kinzer Pharmacy and a babysitter in her home. Jeanne dearly loved her family and enjoyed gardening, feeding birds, sewing, quilting and children.

She is survived by her daughter; Lisa (Danny) Steely of  Lewisburg, granddaughter; Sarah (Max Kern) Steely of Lewisburg, sister; Donnie (Dickie) Faught of Williamsport, brother; William (Kay) Kennedy of W.V. and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; James W. Johnson, three sisters; Ruby Scott, Ann Gunter and Libby Gray, and one brother; Jerry Kennedy.

Pallbearers will be; Mike Gaddes, Jeff Gray, David Faught, Mark Faught, Randy Gaddes and Bubba Gaddes.  Honorary Pallbearers will be; Ricky Gray and members of Berea Church of Christ.
