Joseph T. Buchanan

August 7, 1951 - May 8, 2017

Joseph T. “Buster” Buchanan, 65, of Chapel Hill, passed away May 8, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Mass of Resurrection celebrated by Reverend Joseph Patrick Breen at St. Edward Catholic Church in Nashville, May 15, 2017. Visitation at 10:00 am, followed by mass at 11:00 am.  Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia is assisting the family with all arrangements.

Born on August 7, 1951 in Nashville, Buster was the son of the late Joseph T. “J T” Buchanan and Nell Leaver Buchanan. He was a Century 21 real estate agent and member of St Edward  Catholic Church in Nashville. Buster was married to the love of his life, Marion Holt Buchanan and loved his entire family. He loved and enjoyed his children and grandchildren as well as people in general.  He was a people person, always making everyone laugh. He enjoyed deer hunting and playing cards. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Besides his beloved wife Marion and mother Nell, Buster is survived by his, daughter; Jill Vaughn (Jason) of Smyrna, son; Joseph T. “Joey” Buchanan IV (Katie)  of Bellview, four grandchildren; C. J. Vaughn, Ryan Vaughn, Lily Buchanan and Raighan Buchanan, brother; Bubba Buchanan of  Nashville, sister; Mary Helen Bailey (Steve) of Nashville, several nieces and nephews and a special aunt, Helen Leaver.

Buster was preceded in death by his father; and a nephew; Brad Fulcher.
