William "Dan" Gray

October 18, 1937 - April 29, 2017

William “Dan” Gray, age 79, and a resident of Iron City, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at his residence.

Born on October 18, 1937 in Lawrence County, Dan was the son of the late Richard O. Gray and the late Millie Elizabeth Ray Gray. He was a member of the Church of God. He was hardworking, country man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by three sons: William “Bill” (Judy) Gray, Jr., Spencer (Tricia) Gray, Joshua (Debbie) Gray; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Timothy Scott Gray; grandson: William D. Gray III; and four brothers.
