Joey Parker

November 26, 1974 - April 2, 2017

Mr. Joey Nelson Parker, age 42, a resident of Primm Springs, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Alexander and Keith Baker officiating. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 10-11AM at the funeral home. An inurnment will be held at a later date in Potts Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on November 26, 1974 in Williamson County, Joey was the son of Sybil Fitzgerald Mitchell and the late Larry Nelson Parker. He attended Santa Fe School and worked in construction. He was a loving and caring person who never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back. Joey enjoyed listening to music, being on the river, and fishing. He also loved his old cars.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter: Brittany Elaine Gibbs of Kentucky; sister: Tabitha Ann Parker of Primm Springs; three grandchildren; nephew: Dillon Scott of Santa Fe; niece: Haley Slaughter of Primm Springs; brother-in-law: Ricky Slaughter of Primm  Springs; aunts: Nancy Hutcherson of Primm Springs, Susie Fitzgerald of Gallatin, Leona Parker of Dickson; and cousins: Holly Capps of Primm Springs, Chris Capps of Primm Springs, Stephanie Fitzgerald of Hickman County, Amy Fitzgerald of Hickman County, and Amanda Fitzgerald of Dickson County.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father: John Mitchell; grandmothers: Addie Parker, Louise Hutcherson; grandfathers: Tommy Parker, Raymond Fitzgerald; uncles: Raymond Fitzgerald, Jr., Jeffery Fitzgerald; and aunt: Glenda Fitzgerald.
