Doris Marie Marlin Anderson, age 82, a resident of Bear Creek Road in Thompson’s Station, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 7th at 10am at Heritage Funeral Home with Tandy Rainey and Jeff Klingler officiating.  Burial will follow in Sparkman Cemetery.  The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 4-8pm at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Doris was born August 23, 1934 in Williamson County and was the daughter of the late Samuel Marlin and late Everlena Watkins Marlin.  She married Wayne Anderson who preceded her in death in 2003.  She was a member of West End Church of Christ and devoted her life to helping others before herself.  She retired from CPD Industries in Franklin.  She loved working in her flower garden, canning vegetables, and making jelly.  She was a dear lady that will be missed.

Doris is survived by her sons: Tony Anderson and Timothy (Tina) Anderson; son in law: Jesse Sweeney; grandchildren: Joshua (Kendra) Anderson, Angela (Adam) Adcock, Tony, Jr., Justin (Jessica) Sweeney, Kristopher Anderson, Jesse Anderson, Jay Bean, and Rachel Anderson; and great grandchildren: Ty Anderson, Ella Rae Anderson, Lane Sweeney, Ryan Sweeney, and Devin Adcock.

Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter: Marie Sweeney; daughter in law: Kalan Anderson; sisters: Grace Martin, Ella Mae Sullivan, Edith McKee, and Ruth Davis; and brothers: Lester Marlin, Glen Marlin, and Melvin Marlin.

Pallbearers will be Jessee Klingler, Kristopher Anderson, Josh Anderson, Justin Sweeney, Ty Anderson, T.J. Anderson, Adam Adcock, and Jay Bean.  Honorary pallbearers will be all members of the West End Church of Christ.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Willowbrook Home Health Care, Joanne and Joe King, Caroline Judd, Janice Walls, and Debbie Klingler.
