John Dwight Bouland

July 9, 1944 - April 3, 2017

Mr. John Dwight Bouland, age 72, husband of Beth Bouland, and a resident of Culleoka, passed away Monday evening, April 3, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2PM at Pleasant Heights Baptist Church with Bro. Bob Vassar and John Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8PM at Heritage Funeral Home and again on Thursday from 1-2PM at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 9, 1944 in Paducah, KY John was the son of the late Lee Bouland and the late Christine E. Hudson Bouland. He married Beth on January 6, 1974. He worked nearly 30 years as an electrician for I.B.E.W Local 295 and was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. John loved all sports but was especially an avid Kentucky basketball fan and St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He enjoyed gardening and loved all animals. John was always there for his family and loved them dearly.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Renee Lindsey of Huntsville, AL, Christy (Rick) Fitzwater of Culleoka, Kim  (Jimmie) Morphew of Paducah, KY, Chandra Bouland of Bossier City, LA; brother: Michael Bouland of Paducah, KY; sister: Sharon Johnston of Caruthersville, MO; grandchildren: Dawn (Allen) Wilson, Amber (Micah) St. John, Audrey Lindsey, Drew Fitzwater, Sydney Fitzwater, Lauren Morphew, Tristen Bradshaw, Gabrielle Bradshaw; great grandchildren: Kaylen Wilson, Tripp Wilson, Charlie St. John; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and great great great nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: William, Robert, and Donald Bouland; sister: Barbara Hack; and son-in-law: Mark Lindsey.

Pallbearers will be: Drew Fitzwater, Allen Wilson, Corey Miller, Micah St. John, Harold Williamson, and Wil Williamson.
