Norma H. Reese

March 29, 1951 - March 28, 2017

Norma Howell Reese, age 65, a resident of Cayce Lane in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 just one day shy of her 66th birthday.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

A native of Columbia, Norma was born on March 29, 1951 and was the daughter of the late Willie Clark “Pee Wee” Howell and the late Mae Crain Howell. She was a 1969 graduate of Columbia Central High School. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and spoiling her dogs. Norma had a good sense of humor and loved pulling pranks on people.

She is survived by her sons: Johnny C. Reese of Columbia, Kevin Michael Reese of Columbia; step daughters: Stacy Reese and Teri Reese; sister: Barbara (J.D.) Phillips of Unionville; brother: Gary (Debbie) Howell of Lynnville; grandchild: Harley Dale Goats Reese; brother in laws: Ted Reese, Thomas Pete (Peggy) Reese, and Earl Reese; sister in laws: Gloria Harwell, Rachel Barlow, and Leslie Kelley; and nieces and nephews: Josh Howell, Chelsea Howell, Amanda (Dan) Castillo, David (Stephanie) Hickman, Cheryl (Danny) Davis, Shirley (Tim) Malone, BJ (Michelle) Harwell, Lynn (Fred) Gonzales, Robert Barlow, Tina Jones, TW Reese, Jr., and Tony Reese.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: William “Juny” Howell and Thomas “Bud” Howell.

Pallbearers will be Robert Barlow, Patrick Davis, David Hickman, Josh Howell, Jerry Prince, Jr., and Tony Wren.  Honorary pallbearers will be J.D. Phillips, Jerry Prince, Sr., Earl Reese, Thomas “Pete” Reese, and Ted Reese.
