Theresa Ann Sparks

July 11, 1954 - March 27, 2017

Theresa Ann Sparks, age 62, wife of Norman Sparks, and a resident of Claremont Drive in Columbia, passed away Monday morning, March 27, 2017 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Minister John Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Love in Maury Memorial Gardens.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 11, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN, Theresa was the daughter of Lawrence Schmidt and the late Norma Mershon Schmidt. She married Norman Sparks on December 16, 1972. Theresa attended Southgate Church of Christ and was a member of the Newcomers Group in Columbia. She enjoyed bowling, doing crafts, and playing Pinochle.

In addition to her father and husband, she is survived by her son: Michael (Eraca) Sparks of Spring Hill; daughter: Michele (Donald) Clark of Columbia; brothers: David (Janet) Faircloth of Kellogg, IA, Mark (Cindy) Faircloth of Kellogg, IA, John (Deborah) Ledbetter of California; sister: Sandra Vardaman of Indianapolis, IN; and four grandchildren: Josalyn, Savannah, Caroline Sparks, and Kinley Clark.

Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Linda Ledbetter, and Laura Schmidt.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Southgate Church of Christ: 2700 Pulaski Highway, Columbia, TN 38401.
