Elsie Valdez

August 9, 1926 - February 19, 2017

Elsie Robinson Valdez, age 90, a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Alive Hospice.

The celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1PM at Joey & Rory’s Farmhouse Concert Hall, 4554 Highway 431, Columbia, TN. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Elsie was born on August 9, 1926 in Carroll Iowa. She was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. Elsie previously worked for Republic Air Craft during World War II where she cleaned machine guns. Besides her additional work as a homemaker, she also worked for Webb’s Antique Mall in Lake City, Florida.

She is survived by her husband: Frederick Monford Valdez; sons: Skip (Kathy) Valdez, Richard (Laura) Valdez; and daughters: “Bunnie” Cecilia Avery and Eleana Ramona Rocco.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to AliveHospice.org designated to the Nashville location or the American Legion Post 19 in Columbia, TN.
