Phillip Wayne Matney

September 18, 1966 - February 10, 2017

Mr. Phillip Wayne Matney, age 50, resident of Leoma, passed away February 10, 2017 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17th at 7pm at Heritage Funeral Home.  The family will visit with friends on Friday from 5pm until the 7pm service.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Phillip was born September 18, 1966 in Waynesboro, Tennessee and was the son of the late Joseph Leemon Matney and the late Onetta Long Matney.  He worked as a technician for Dura Automotive.  Some of his hobbies were playing golf and going to the shooting range.  He enjoyed playing sports with his son.

He is survived by his sons: Kaiden Matney of Lawrenceburg and Dustin Matney; and many family, extended family and friends who loved him.

In lieu of flowers there is a fund set up at First Farmers & Merchants Bank in Lawrenceburg, North Locust Branch in the name of Kaiden Matney.
