Walter Rokita

Mr. Walter John Rokita, age 83, a resident of Spring Hill, TN, previously of Jackson, MI, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Life Care Center.

An inurnment will be held in Jackson, Michigan. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on November 2, 1933 in Jackson, MI, Walter was the son of the late Stanislow Rokita and the late Josephine Kowalski Rokita. He was of the Catholic faith and was a very devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He is survived by his daughter: Vicky (Dan) Pickrell of Spring Hill, TN; son: Harold (Kim) Rokita of Parma, MI; special friends: Ralph & JoAnn Harris of Jackson, MI; special nephew: Ray (Donna) Rokita of Lansing, MI; grandchildren: Jenifer (John) Markiewicz, Brian (Kaila) Hinckley, Brent Rokita, Mark Rokita, Chad Rokita; and great grandchild: Liam Hinckley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife on thirty-six years: Bonnie Rokita; and his special companion of twenty years: Shirley Pickrell.
