Dorothy Ballance

August 19, 1943 - January 24, 2017

Dorothy W. Ballance, age 73, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at NHC-Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.

The family will celebrate her life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dorothy was born on August 19, 1943 in Dunn, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Arthur Webb and the late Vada Moore Webb. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and reading. Dorothy also liked listening to country and Christian music. She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by daughter: Teresa (Evan) Shelton of Columbia; and grandchildren: Bailey Fetrow and Hayden Shelton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Ballance who passed away in May of 2016.
