Mary Brumit

May 1, 1947 - January 23, 2017

Mrs. Mary Dale Brumit, age 69, wife of Charles Brumit, and a resident of Blackburn Road in the Santa Fe Community, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at Vanderbilt Hospital.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 26th at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Points officiating. Entombment will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 4-9 PM and Thursday from 9AM until the service time at 11AM at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on May 1, 1947, in Maury County, TN, Mary was the daughter of the late George Lindsey and the late Ethel Conner Lindsey of Mt. Pleasant. She was a graduate of Haylong High School and worked at Bimbo Bakery in Maury County and Dickson for many years. She married Charles Brumit on April 17, 1965. She was of Christian faith. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and going to Tunica. Most of all she loved being surrounded by her family especially her seven grandchildren. She always had a kind heart, warm meal, and a welcoming home to anyone who needed one.

In addition to her husband of fifty-one years,  Charles, she is survived by her sons: Charles (Janeice) Brumit, Jr., Donald Wayne Brumit, Andy (Christy) Brumit; brothers: Charlie Ray Lindsey, James Frances Lindsey; and grandchildren: Melaine (Sean) Young, Hope Brumit, Savannah Brumit, Emma Brumit, Jacob Brumit, Abby Brumit, and Logan Brumit.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: George Lindsey.

Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Harvell, Raymond Conner, Willie Brown, David Cobb Brown, Ashley Brumit, Sean Young, Chris Huggins, and Ben Gregory.
