March 20, 1962 - January 14, 2017

Charles Brown Moore, Jr., age 54, a resident of Summertown and formerly of Columbia,  passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Eternity in Maury Memorial Gardens, located adjacent to Heritage Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Charles was born in Maury County on March 20, 1962 and was the son of the late Charles Brown Moore, Sr. and Janice Clark Moore Brown.  He married the love of his life, Jennifer Moore in 1995.  He served his country in the Army and worked as a Truck Driver for Paul Hood Trucking in Lewisburg.  Some of his hobbies included fishing, camping, and Nascar.  Along with driving trucks, he enjoyed operating heavy equipment.   Above all, he loved spending time with his children.  He would go to horse shows with his daughter and was always encouraging his son to go after his dreams.

In addition to his wife and mother, Charles is survived by his sons: Charles Brown Moore, III of Columbia, Kevin Moore of Columbia, and Jeffery (Kayla) Moore of Summertown; daughters: Amanda (Robert) Sterling of Columbia and Amber Moore (Austin Hickman) of Mt. Pleasant; brother: David Moore of Lawrenceburg; sisters: Teresa Pugh of Lawrenceburg, Kila Hicks of Titusville, FL, Lori Mackey of Titusville, FL, and Lisa Watts of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren: Nicholas Moore, Katlyn Moore, Cassey Logan Moore, Dylan Nathaniel Moore, Christopher Savage, Braiden Savage, and Austin Blake Hickman, Jr.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his father in law: David Brown.

Pallbearers will be: Jeffery Moore, Austin Hickman, John Watts, Brandon Watts, Terry “Bubba” Peirce, Jr., and Timmy “Bubba” Morton. Honorary pallbearers will include: family and friends.

The family has requested donations be made to Heritage Funeral Home, 609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, TN 38401.
