Allen Lee Richardson passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at his residence in Ethridge Tennessee after a courageous battle with cancer.

A celebration of his life with family and friends will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, December 27 th at the First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, TN with Minister Joe Evans officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time at the church. Inurnment will be on Wednesday, December 28 th at11:00 AM at Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski, TN.

Born July 23, 1954 in Lawrence County, Allen was the son of Bobby Lee Richardson and the late Jane Evelyn Clanton Richardson. He was married to Cherri Rast Richardson for the last (30)   years. Allen served as the Executive Director of Serenity Recovery Centers in Memphis Tennessee for the last 21 years.  He dedicated his life to assisting individuals across the State of Tennessee who struggled with alcoholism, addiction and/or mental illness.  Allen attended the University of Memphis and was a life-long avid supporter of Tiger sports. He particularly loved football and celebrating victories with his family and friends.  He was devoted to his family and was loved by his colleagues and friends.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his son: John Landon Richardson of Brentwood; granddaughter: Caroline McClain Richardson of Brentwood; sister: Tammy (Duke) Moss of Pulaski.

In Lieu of flowers , the family has requested memorials be made to Serenity Recovery Center, 1094 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38105
