Mr. Hughie Dean Englett, Sr., age 75 of Leoma, passed away on Sunday, November 27, at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Englett will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Englett was born April 1, 1941 in Giles County, son of the late Frank Ozro and Edith Prince Englett and the husband of Debbie Newton Englett. He was the owner of an upholstery shop in Pulaski and then Lawrenceburg, doing work for several famous people. He loved nature, growing flowers, rock collecting and was a very interesting man who was loved by all that knew him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son: Hughie (Tasha) Englett II of Leoma, step-son: Daniel Shane Newton of Leoma; brothers: Johnny (Shirley) Englett of Portland, TN, Mark, Terry and David Englett, all of Lawrenceburg; sisters: Brenda Alverson of Gurley, AL and Penny Hughes of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren: Shayla Newton, Hannah Grace Englett and Misty Wehner.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Austin, Gary, Jerry and Larry Englett; sisters: Linda Canon and Pamela Michaud.
