Christine “Cricket” Hill, age 74, a resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday evening, November 19, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehab.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Scott McCord officiating. Burial will follow in Kelley Cemetery in the Fly Community. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3-7PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on July 7, 1942 in Lawrence County, Cricket was the daughter of the late Lewis Birdine Hill and the late Pearl Geneva Ball Hill. She enjoyed her flowers, reading her Bible, and watching Dr. Stanley on Sunday mornings. Cricket especially loved her grandbabies.
She is survived by her daughters: Kimberly (Bill) Bradley of Santa Fe, Deborah Kelley of Columbia; sisters: Jody Brown of Mt. Pleasant, Geneva Miller of Columbia; grandchildren: Chasity (Dakota Lunsford) Kelley of Springtown, TX, Terry Kelley of Columbia, Jessica Kelley of Columbia, Jenny (Ray) Crain of Lewisburg, Jacqueline Potts of Columbia, Ashley Bradley of Santa Fe; and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Rhonda Kelley; son: Winford Kelley; brother: Lewis Hill; sister: Betty Hill; half brothers: Billy Hendricks and James Hendricks; great granddaughter: Isabella Crain; and lifelong companion: Albert “Jack” Kelley.
