Melvin H. Roberts

Mr. Melvin Roberts, age 76, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at his residence.

The family will celebrate his life at a later date.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Melvin was born November 3, 1940 in Maury County and was the son of the late Walter H. Roberts and the late Mary Ella Boyd Roberts.  He was a truck driver for Chic Harris Trucking and Smith Attkison and worked for Kasbar National Industries Inc.  After retiring, he enjoyed doing maintenance at McDonald’s in Spring Hill.  He was a man that had a great sense of humor, always telling jokes.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife: Sherry Daniels Roberts; son: Melvin Roberts, Jr.; daughters: Michele Davidson and Kimberly Roberts; brother: Donnie (Kathy) Roberts; sisters: Joanne (Ernest) Chapman, Carolyn (Leroy) Small, Linda Roosevelt) Lawrence, Katherine (Glen) Hodge, Debbie (Gary) Sharp, and Tammy Roberts; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
