A native of Tennessee, Mr. Cain was born in Camden, Tennessee and was the son of the late C.E. & Beulah Cain. In 1954 he married Helen (McNatt) Cain who preceded him in death in 2014. Together they raised three sons: Jim, Tim & Terry. Mr. Cain was blessed to wear many hats in his life. After high school he attended radio school in Memphis, Tennessee. Over the next several years, you could find him enjoying his “radio & music hobby" by playing Gospel music for various radio stations and promoting Southern Gospel Concerts.
Mr. Cain was also a successful business owner. He was honored to serve funeral directors in Kentucky and Tennessee for over 40 years, representing Bass-Mollett. He always looked upon the funeral industry as an extension of ministry.
Without a doubt, his greatest calling and love was the ministry. Mr. Cain was responsible for starting churches throughout Tennessee & Kentucky along with being the state wide Home Missions Director in Kentucky. He had a passion for studying the Bible and had a lifelong teaching ministry as an ordained Pentecostal minister.
He is survived by his three sons: Jim (Mary) Cain of Linden, Tim (Carrie) Cain of Ohio, and Terry (Deborah) Cain of Spring Hill; six grandchildren: Nakevin (Emily) Cain, Toshina (Seth) Rawlings, Janika Cain, Chase Cain, Skyler Cain and Isabella Cain; eight great-grandchildren; one brother: Frank (Harriett) Cain of Mt. Juliet; two sisters: Sue (Richard) Myers of Indiana, Evy (George) Goddard of Tennessee; a very special brother and sister-in-law: Neal & Bess Boling; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Gladys Jarrett, Polly Hardy, Tom Cain, and C.E. Cain, Jr.
Funeral Directors, Sales Club members and fellow Ministers will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
