Debra Jean McCoy Cline, age 55, a resident of Jim Warren Road in Springhill, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Monday at 3:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home with John M. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Maury Memorial Gardens in The Garden of Promise. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 3-7PM and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
A native of Maury County, Debra was born on February 5, 1961 and was the daughter of the late William Thomas “Bill” McCoy and Charlotte Stanfill McCoy. She was of the Baptist faith. Debra was employed as a Pharmacy Tech for many years with Derryberry’s Drug Store. She loved helping others and loved to cook, always making sure everyone had enough to eat. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, the mountains and being around people talking while sharing memories of good times. She had a special love for her dogs, Zena, Jake and Cat. Debra was a true friend to all, and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her brothers: Alan McCoy and Gary McCoy both of Columbia, her nephew: David McCoy and her niece: Amy (Jeremiah) Bakken.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Dwight Eugene Cline on March 15, 2016.
Pallbearers will be: John Smith, David McCoy, Miles Capps, Billy Edwards, Alan McCoy and Gary McCoy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Stanfill, the staff at CCU of Maury Regional Medical Center, Dr. Amit Choski and staff of Maury Regional Cancer Center.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Debra’s nurse: Revrey Amey, Betty Derryberry and all former employees of Derryberry’s Drug Store.
