James Richmond Chadwell III

February 4, 1954 - September 10, 2016

Mr. James R. Chadwell III, age 62, of Columbia, passed away September 10, 2016 at Memphis VA Medical Center.

A memorial service for friends will be held on Saturday from 2-6PM at Wayside Inn in Columbia. A private family service will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 4, 1954 in Columbia, James was the son of Mary Edith Southern Love and the late James R. Chadwell, Jr. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era, was self employed in the construction business, and also served as a Mason.

He is survived by his mother: Mary Edith Southern Love of Columbia; brothers: James David Chadwell of Springfield, MA, Charles Daniel Chadwell of Smyrna, TN; and sisters: Faye Chadwell Braden of Columbia,  TN, and Viellallar Lovett of Columbia, TN.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to John Meade and Kenny Wells for visiting James often, and thank you to Yukon and Baby Girl of the E.B.G.B. for their financial support during his illness.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in his James’ name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: 1102 17th Avenue South #300, Nashville, TN 37212.
