Mrs. Rebecca Ruth Skelley Wall, age 90, resident of Knob Creek Community, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Life Care of Columbia.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 19th at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Muston officiating. Burial will follow in the Knob Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home and Monday from 2:00PM until the service time. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born October 15, 1925 in the Knob Creek Community, where she was raised and lived most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Robert Benton Skelley and Louise Haywood Skelley and the wife of the late Robert Neal Wall. She was a 1944 graduate of Santa Fe High School and a member of Knob Creek Baptist Church since 1949. In her early years, she worked for the Tennessee Farm Bureau in Columbia and traveled with her husband and sons to Tennessee Walking Horse shows. She was described as an awesome cook, fixing whatever her family wanted.

She is survived by her sons: Mike (Linda) Wall of Knob Creek Community and David (Pam) Wall of Santa Fe; brother: Clyde Skelley of Santa Fe; her grandchildren which she adored and dearly loved: Michele (Bo) Malone, Josh (Maeghan) Wall, Megan (Alan) Lindsey and Robert Wall, all of Columbia; great grandchildren: Emily Rose Malone, Timothy Dale Malone, Finnegan Michael  Malone, Lilly Catherine Wall, Brewer Alan Wall, Benton Alan Wall, Ruthie Belle Lindsey, Audrey Pearl Lindsey and twins Heidi Rose and Hazel Frances Lindsey. She was preceded in death by a brother: Melvin Skelley and a sister: Jean Warf.

Pallbearers will be her niece: Connie Warf and nephews: Richard Warf, Ronnie Skelley, Tim Skelley, Ricky Skelley and Dennis Skelley. Honorary pallbearers will be Ailene Scott, members of Knob Creek Baptist Church and the staff of Life Care of Columbia.
