Mr. Mark Fedders, age 63, a resident of Dameron, Maryland, previously of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away Saturday evening, September 10, 2016 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 10AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Charlie Norman and Ed Long officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens, adjacent to the funeral home. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on November 7, 1952 in Buffalo, New York, Mark was the son of the late Gordon Theodore Fedders and the late Karin Elvira Shea Fedders. He earned three Associate Degrees and his Bachelor’s Degree from St. Mary’s College in Maryland. Mark was a Boy Scout Leader for many years and worked as a St. Mary’s County Sherriff Deputy for ten years. In November of 1985 he graduated from the FBI Academy. His service in the FBI took him to Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and finally to Washington DC where he was an FBI Liaison for Homeland Security, specializing in weapons of mass destruction. Mark retired from the FBI in 2010 and then began working in Maryland for the Natural Resources Police until his health recently failed him. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors, whether that be hiking or on the water sailing, kayaking, or canoeing.

He is survived by his sons: Michael Fedders of Columbia, TN, Matthew Fedders (Sarah Orquiz) of Deming, NM, Brian (Whitney) Fedders of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter: Lauren (Michael) Crockett of Thompon’s Station, TN; brothers: Jim (Jan) Fedders of St. Simons Island, GA, Ted (Mary) Fedders of Waldorf, MD, Roy (Debbie) Fedders of Dameron, MD; niece: Melissa Fedders of Arlington, VA; his grandson who is due in October: Cole Fedders; several nieces and nephews; and his former wife: Sharon Fedders of Ethridge, TN.



Pallbearers will be: Michael Fedders, Matthew Fedders, Brian Fedders, Michael Crockett, Brian Fazenbaker, and Thomas Whorl. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jim Fedders, Ted Fedders, and Roy Fedders.
