Gregory Odell Claude

March 30, 1954 - September 9, 2016

Mr. Gregory Odell Claude, age 62, and a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 17th at 1pm at Miracle Temple of Deliverance with Apostle Jimmy Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.  The family will visit friends on Friday from 4-6pm in the chapel of Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, located adjacent to Heritage Funeral Home, and again on Saturday from 12noon until the 1pm service at the church.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gregory was born March 30, 1954 in Columbia and was the son of Walter Claude and the late Minnie Foster Claude.  He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and attended Miracle Temple of Deliverance in Columbia.  He married Angela Cooper Claude in October of 1991.  He worked for Stauffer Chemical Company/Innophos for many years.  He enjoyed fishing, football, basketball, and baseball.

In addition to his father and wife, Gregory is survived by his sons: Bernard (Kendra) Richardson of Columbia, and Gregory (Hellen) Woodson of Grand Prairie, TX; Daughters: Shavonda Whitaker of Dallas, GA, and Shauna (James) Johnson of Douglasville, GA; Brother: William Howard (Jacqualine) Claude of Mt. Pleasant; Sister: Deborah (George) Hudspeth of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren; Godson: Jakendris Scribner of Columbia; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.  His coworkers will serve as honorary pallbearers.
