Billy Scott "Scotty" Harris

Billy Scott “Scotty” Harris, age 56, a resident of Nashville and former resident of Columbia, passed away September 2, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services for Scotty will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, September 7th in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12 Noon until the service time at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born September 23, 1959 in Columbia, he was the son of Robert “Bobby” Harris and the late Sara “Sally” Beasley Harris. He retired after working 27 years for the Department of Human Services with the State of Tennessee. Scotty had many friends, loved to laugh, and enjoyed traveling.

In addition to his father, he is survived by a brother: Bobby Lee (Connie) Harris of Culleoka; sister: Carol H. Wilson of Columbia; special best friend: Sidney Wallace of Nashville; niece: Sarah Barry of Columbia; nephew: Nathan Harris of Nashville; great nieces: Lilly and Ava Barry of Columbia. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents: James and Pellie Mae Harris and E. Gray and Lorene Beasley.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
