Anthony G. "Ollie" Oliver

January 20, 1960 - August 8, 2016

Mr. Anthony G. “Ollie” Oliver, age 56, a resident of Columbia passed away Monday, August 8, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

The family will celebrate his life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 20, 1960 in Nashville, Ollie was the son of the late James William “Cookie” Oliver and the late Delia Thornton Oliver. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as a plumbing helper. He was a very private and simple person who liked hunting, fishing, and old rock-n-roll music. Ollie also loved children and was often fond of taking “walk abouts” in the woods.

He is survived by his brother: Ronald Oliver of Columbia; and sisters: Linda (Joe) Briggs of Culleoka, Patricia (Ken) Wood of Lynnville, and Brenda Oliver of Lawrenceburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Mike Oliver and Barry Oliver.
