William Larry Gene Henson

May 17, 1948 - August 3, 2016

Mr. William Larry Henson, age 68, a resident of Columbia, previously of Mt. Pleasant, passed away August 3, 2016 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 10AM at Arlington Cemetery with Pastor Rick Points officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on May 17, 1948 in Columbia, Larry was the son of the late Leonard Leon Henson and the late Amelia Margaret Ray Edwards Henson. He was a 1966 graduate of Haylong High School where he was the salutatorian of his class and was one of the top ten seniors. Larry graduated from Georgia Tech University where he majored in electrical engineering. He was an extremely intelligent individual who enjoyed reading. Larry was a very kind person who loved his family.

He is survived by his brother: Bobby Ray (Donna) Henson of Lewisburg; sister: Sandra Kay Henson (Denton) Crews of Mt. Joy; nieces and nephews: Holly Michelle Henson Thyen, Jillian Nicole Henson Pless, Emily Crews Runions, Amy Crews Sharp, Jason Crews, Josh Crews; and many great nieces and nephews.
