Dennice Lee Melton Pinkerton, age 45, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Points officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 12-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on June 26, 1971 in Jacksonville, Texas, Dennice was the daughter of Wayne Boggs and the late Wanda McAnally Welch and the late Dennis Melton, Sr. She worked as a nurse for 16 years, most recently for Williamson Medical Center. Dennice’s life revolved around her three kids and her grandkids. She was so full of life and often enjoyed fishing. Dennice had a special love for her dog: Brock. She will be deeply missed by all her family.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her children: Ronnie (Brittany) Dunlap of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Charity (Garry) Dunlap of Columbia, Shelby (Daniel) Dunlap of Columbia; siblings: Howard Johnson, Dennis Melton, Webbie (Rhonda) Melton all of Texas, Andrew Johnson of Columbia, Rhonda Lusk, Randy (Debrielle) Boggs, Kim Bock, all of Texas, and Cheryl Draper of Illinois; eight grandchildren: Jacob Amos, Braydon Amos, Dylan Dunlap, Dewayne Dunlap, Dalton Dunlap, Ashlyn Sumner, Chloe Holt, Colt Richardson; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her Daddy: Dennis Melton, Sr.
