Glenda Fay Potts

December 16, 1954 - July 12, 2016

Mrs. Glenda Fay Potts, age 61, wife of Wendell Potts and a resident of Frye Road in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at her residence.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Ronnie Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on December 16, 1954 in Hohenwald, Glenda was the daughter of Thelma Green Love and the late Julian Love. She was of the Baptist faith and worked as a stocker for Wal-Mart in Spring Hill. In her spare time she enjoyed kayaking and riding motorcycles.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband: Wendell Potts of Columbia; son: Christopher Potts of Columbia; and brothers: Larry Love of Hampshire and Ernie (Nancy) Love of Hampshire.

Pallbearers will be: James Harlan, Doug Rogers, Wayne Pruitt, Kevin Fischer, John Conners, and Gary Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ernie Love, Larry Love, Tim Brashears, and her friends from Lowe’s and Wal-Mart of Spring Hill.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Ruth Lamar of Franklin and Avalon Hospice for their care and compassion for Glenda during this difficult time.
