Mr. Billy Dan Morrow, age 79, husband of Betty Morrow, and a resident of Pleasant Drive in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 23rd at 2PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Diles officating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, June 22nd from 4-8PM and again on Thursday from 12-2PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 7, 1937 in Maury County, Billy was the son of the late James Wesley Morrow and the late Elizabeth “Betsy” Delk Morrow. He was a member of the Church of Christ and worked for Sunshine Biscuits Inc. for thirty years. After retirement, he enjoyed owning Food Champ Market for fifteen years. Billy loved playing cards and watching sports, especially UT football. Above all, he deeply loved his family and will be missed by all of them.

In addition to his wife Betty, of 59 years, he is survived by his children: Jan Morrow Neal (Buddy Speakman) of Nashville, Dana Morrow (Bubba) Bennett of Thompsons Station, Mitzi Morrow (Jim) Ball of Columbia, Mark Morrow of Franklin; siblings: Kathryn L. Morrow of Columbia, Jimmy Morrow of Kettle Mills; grandchildren: Michael Wiss of Nashville, Hillary Ball of Lewisburg, Meagan Wyatt (John Burdette) of Summertown, Caitlin Bennett of Thompsons Station, Mallory Ball of Columbia; great grandchildren: Summer Wiss, Noah Funk, Makinley Burdette, Carter Johnson, Aaron Burdette; aunt: Carolyn Hayes of Columbia; sister-in-law: Pame Morrow of Cross Bridges; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Wayne Morrow; and son-in-law: Don Neal.

Pallbearers will be: Michael Wiss, Kenny Morrow, Larry Brewer, Larry Delk, Brian Brewer, John Burdette, Kenny Cecil, and Bobby Cecil.

Honorary pallbearers will be: John F. Walters, John “Snowball” Mayberry, Bruce Cheatham, Rusty Stewart, Dr. Steve Simmons, Dr. John Maloof, Craig Sopher, Mike Lovett, Jeff Weaver, members of “The Shop,” and members of the Elk’s Lodge in Columbia.
