Gladys Emogene Parham

July 28, 1927 - May 27, 2016

Ms. Emogene Parham, age 88, a resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at NHC Hillview.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Melinda Britt officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends two hours prior to the service on Tuesday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 28, 1927 in Maury County, Emogene was the daughter of the late Walter E. Parham and the late Lillian Pauline McKee Ghee. She was a dedicated member of First United Methodist Church in Columbia for over sixty-five years where she volunteered in the finance office for over twenty years and was active in the Soul Food Ministry and Young at Heart and was a member of the Ayres-Whitney Fellowship Class. Emogene was a caregiver to many and was retired from AT&T where she worked in management.

She is survived by her family: Ken (Macie) McKee, Linda, Misty, and Mary Frances Loftin, Earl McKee, Mary Elizabeth Holloway, and her co-worker and lifelong friend: Aillene Alderson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the First United Methodist Church Ayres-Whitney Fellowship Class.
