Patricia Bates

Patricia Bates, age 84, resident of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at her residence.

Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patricia was born September 30, 1931 in Braddock, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late William Pettigrew and the late Bertha Morgan Pettigrew. She worked as an RN in the medical field and was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed reading romance novels and watching movies.

She is survived by her children: Thomas Eugene (Terie) McCool and Timothy McCool, Tamara Kimberling, all of Arcadia, FL, Theodore McCool of Idyllwild, CA and Todd William (Wendy) McCool of Columbia; brother: Bill Pettigrew of Saraland, AL; thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother: Edward Pettigrew.
