Rick Mayo

February 12, 1947 - May 23, 2016

Mr. Rick Mayo, age 69, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday evening, May 23, 2016 at his residence.

A visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Family and friends will share memories at 8PM on Friday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 12, 1947 in Pontiac, MI, Rick was the son of the late Bailey “Bud” Mayo and the late Lucille Gotch Mayo. He loved riding motorcycles and was a good hearted man who loved life and never had anything bad to say about anyone. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his caretaker and companion for eleven years: Sandra Reed of Columbia; son: Richard Berwager (Terri Clements) of Columbia; daughters: Angela (Glenn) Money of Beulah, MI, Haley Fellbarth of Sweet Water, TN; step sons: Scotty Reed of Sevierville, TN, John (Heather) Bruce of Franklin, Randy Percell of Gallatin; brother: Barry Mayo of Michigan; sisters: Sheri Mayo White of Michigan, Cyndi Mayo of Florida; grandchildren: Alexandra and Richard Berwager, Sheena (Jason) Aikins, Austin Braden, Chelsea Strehlke, Abbey Mayo, Andrew, Aaron, and Ian Clements, Natalie (Anthony) Francia, Taygan  and Jordan Reed, Justin, Jordan, and Jaydan Bruce; special friends: Ed Young, Linda Berwager; special nephew: Jason White; many nieces and nephews; and wife: Elizabeth Mayo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Kimberly Mayo; brother: Danny Mayo; and loving niece: Lana White.
