Boyd Finney

May 1, 1933 - May 21, 2016

Mr. Boyd William Finney, age 83, of Tullahoma, TN passed away Saturday morning, May 21, 2016 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg.

A memorial service will be held later at Daves Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on May 8, 1933 in Tullahoma, Boyd was the son of the late Warner Finney and the late Pearl Weaver Finney. He served in the National Guard and worked the majority of his life at Wilson’s Golf Plant in Tullahoma as a mechanic and machinist. He enjoyed Nascar, fishing, and working on cars. Boyd loved his family, but especially loved spending time with his granddaughters.

He is survived by his daughter: Sherry Lane (Jeffrey) West of Westpoint, TN; granddaughters: Emily Michelle West of Decatur, AL, Jessica Loren West of Loretto, TN; sister: Jelene (Ivey) Smith of Tullahoma, TN; and nephew: Jimmy (Charolette) Woody of Prescott, AR.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Jeston Woody; and brothers: Preston, Dale, and Felix Finney.
