Mary Jo "Jodie" Cashion

March 2, 1949 - May 20, 2016

Mary Jo “Jodie” Cashion, 67, of Columbia, passed away May 20, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehabilitation.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 5:30PM at Friendship Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Born on March 2, 1949 in Maury County, Jodie was the daughter of the late William Murphy Rea and the late Elizabeth Dugger Rea. She was of the Church of Christ faith and was a retired caregiver, but most recently worked in management for several different stores.

She is survived by her sons: John B. (Dana) Pennington of Columbia, Joseph D. (Rebecca) Cardwell of Florida; sisters: Pat (Reams) Vandiver of Lewisburg, Elizabeth (Gene) Neelly of Peach Tree, GA; grandchildren: Grayson and Lilly Pennington, Savannah and Samantha Cardwell; four nephews and one niece.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: John David Rea.
