Frances Norman Burton

November 24, 1937 - May 18, 2016

Frances Norman Burton, age 78, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21st at 1PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Points officiating.  Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday from 4-8PM at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Frances was born November 24, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Hess Allen and the late Euna Allen.  She was of the Baptist faith and worked in customer service management for a food supplier.  She enjoyed listening to music, shopping, and collecting salt and pepper shakers.  She loved animals, especially her pets Solo and Myles.

She is survived by her daughter in law: Joyce Dean of Columbia; grandson: Eddie (Kiya) Norman of Columbia; cousins: Marjorie Patterson, Jeff Stanford, and Susie Goats; friend: Carol Bashista; and beloved pet: Myles.

Along with her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husbands: RL Norman and Claude Burton; son: Eddie Dean Norman; grandmother: Florence Stanford; best friend: Berry Goats; and beloved pet: Solo.

Pallbearers will be Nick Thompson, Seth Thompson, Jeff Stanford, Anthony Gray, Manuel Jones, Jesse White, Kendrick Porter, and Steven Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be David Patterson, Freddie Kelsey, Jerry Hubbell, Carl Dean and Mike Goats.
