Nancy Whitehead

February 26, 1954 - May 14, 2016

Mrs. Nancy Deniece Whitehead, 62, resident of Hohenwald, passed away Saturday, May 14 at her home.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 3:00PM at the Old Siegle Building on Forrest Avenue in Hohenwald with Pastor John Rawdon officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 24, 1954 in Hohenwald, she was the daughter of Myrtle Marie Morrow Harvey and the late James Walton Staggs and the wife of Johnny Whitehead. She had worked as a medical records clerk at Maury Regional Medical Center and she loved quilting, cooking, and all types of gardening and crafts. She had a passion for collecting wind chimes.

In addition to her husband and mother, she will be loved and remembered by her children: Dennis Matthew Hale of Cookeville and Tonya Marie (Matt) Machado of Spring Hill; step-daughter: Ashley (James) Hooper of Hohenwald; brothers: Bill Staggs, Willard Staggs and Mark Staggs, all of Waynesboro; sisters: Mary Hickerson of Waynesboro, Mildred Murray of Hohenwald and Lisa Kern of Livonia, MI; eight loving and adoring grandchildren.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a step-daughter: Amanda Dye and her brothers: James Staggs and Harvell Staggs.
