Mrs. Mary Frances Smith, age 93, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, May 10th at the Gardens of Poplar Estates in Columbia.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held 1:00 PM Friday May 13th in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Vann and Rev. Angy Trimmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Restview Cemetery in Loretto, TN with Rev. Jeff Jacob officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time on Friday at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born January 5, 1923 in Lawrenceburg, she was the daughter of the late Harley Lee Lutts and the late Cora Lee Smith Lutts and was the wife of the late Hullett Reab Smith. She was a member of Craft Memorial Methodist Church and worked as a seamstress for Edrick Manufacturing and Slant and Slant. She loved to go fishing and camping with her husband, as well as read watch her favorite shows, Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor . Her son Jim said that his mother had a good sense of humor and was quite a jokester.

She leaves behind to cherish memory her daughter: Kennie Sue Walker of Priceville, AL; sons: Jim (Leona) Smith of Thompson’s Station, Billy Joe (Sandra) Smith of Columbia; seven grandchildren: Chris Smith, Tracy Smith, Sandie Bennett, Johnny Walker, Lee Walker, Lance Smith and Taylor Smith; 10 great-grandchildren; Anthony Walker, Analise Walker, Jenna Walker, Wesley Walker, Megan Craig, Justin Goldsmith, Shelby Goldsmith, Carson Goldsmith, Kaitlyn Bennett and Seth Bennett. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Bill Lutts and Bob Lutts; granddaughter: Kimberly Smith; and son-in-law: Billy Walker.

Pallbearers will be Lance Smith, Chris Smith, Brian Goldsmith, Carson Goldsmith, Justin Goldsmith, Mickey Thompson, Danny Bennett and Rodney Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Craft Memorial Methodist Church and Steve Johnson.
