Bobby White, age 63, well known businessman of Maury County and owner of Bobby White Motors and Auto Salvage, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at Williamson Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 11 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Points and Randy Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, May 14th from 4 – 8 PM and again on Sunday, May 15th from 1 – 4 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on November 25, 1952 in Maury County, Bobby was the son of Maidlin Hardison (Gene Street) Prince and the late Robert Milton White. He married Cathy Baker on June 2, 1972. In 1973 he started his business, Bobby White Motors which inventoried over 3,000 vehicles. His customers were not only in the state of Tennessee but all over the southeastern United States. Bobby lived for his business and was a man of his word. Bobby was a people person who never met a stranger. He was an avid Nascar fan, and in his younger days he enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his Pride and Joy: Paislee MaKenna Meade who he loved more than life, and was the apple of his eye. She lit a spark in him that the world had never seen and was the child he never had. He is also survived by his sister: Terry White (Eddie “Duchin”) Jones of Lynnville; nephews: Chevy (Susan) White of Columbia, Luke (Anisha) Jones of Summertown, Kevin Baker of Columbia, Daniel Baker of Columbia; nieces: Rhonda Sullivan Reed of Columbia, Brooklyn White of Columbia, Angelia Baker of Columbia; and several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his brother: Jimmy White; paternal grandparents: Robert & Lurline Huckaby White; maternal grandparents: John L. & Mary Belle Butler Hardison; father and mother-in-law: Tom & Betty Blocker Baker; brother-in-law: Danny Thomas Baker; and sister-in-law: Pamela Gaye Baker.
Pallbearers will be: Randy Fox, Pat McCandless, Ross Pullen, Randy Uzzell, Roscoe Brannon, Steve Brown, Richie Gilliam, and Ed Villafane. Honorary Pallbearers will be the past and present employees of Bobby White Motors.
