William Newton Shepherd

September 9, 1959 - April 25, 2016

Mr. William Newton Shepherd, age 56, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at his residence.

Born on September 9, 1959 in Maury County, William was the son of the late Willie Shepherd and the late Hallie Kelley Shepherd. He was self employed as a carpenter and was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his step-sons: Harry Schak of Shelbyville, Paul Hensley of Hohenwald, Scottie Hensley of Shelbyville; step-daughters: Tracy Brown of Columbia, Dawn Schak of Columbia; nephew: Steve Brookes of Columbia; grandchildren: Ashley Brown, Kimberly Kelley, Kimberly Mayo, Kenny W. Brown, Anthony Kelley; great-grandchildren: Ethan and Cheyanne Chatman, Keegan, Bentley, Tanner and Gannon Mayo, Lakayla, Brooklynn, and Mini Kenny Brown, Arianna and Anthony Kelley; and special friend: Linda Staggs of Columbia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Sandra Shepherd.
