Martha Ellen Dell Davis, age 79, and a resident of Pulaski, passed away on Friday at Southern Tennessee Health System in Pulaski.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 19th at 2pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Doug McCandless officiating. Burial will follow in Watts Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 4-8pm and on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Martha was born in Clairmont, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Monroe Chambers and the late Ellen Dyer Chambers. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed sewing. Martha worked as a cashier at Big Lots for seventeen years. In her spare time, she loved gardening and working puzzles.
She is survived by her sons: Gary Davis of Culleoka, and Wayne (Pam) Davis of Lawrenceburg; daughters: Virginia (William) Slaughter of Culleoka, Gladys (Gary) Holt of Pulaski, and Kat (Darrell) Williams of Culleoka; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband Wilson Davis and her sister Mary Watson.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Armstrong, Michael Barnhart, Jordan Armstrong, Brandon Davis, Zack Davis, and Christopher Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Sean Summers, Matthew Bunt, Christopher Lovell, James Knappins, and Lance Hargrove.
