Mary Thomas Wells

August 22, 1924 - March 31, 2016

Mary Thomas Wells, age 91, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday morning, March 31, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Lynnwood Cemetery with Johnny Haywood officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 22, 1924 in Lynnville, Mary was the daughter of the late Tom Fitzpatrick and the late Pearl McClure Fitzpatrick. She was retired from Weather Tamer where she worked as a sewing machine operator. Mary was a member of Highland Church of Christ in Columbia. She enjoyed knitting and loved all of her family and friends.

She is survived by her son: Paul Wells of Lewisburg; daughter: Hilda (Larry) Reid of Antioch; grandchildren: Karen Stevens, Jason (Pam) Stevens, Michelle (Robert) Garrard, Melissa (Eric) Smith; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Woodrow Wells; and her brother: Jackie Fitzpatrick.

Pallbearers will be: John Salatis, Robert Garrard, Hollis Garrard, and Eric Smith.
