Mrs. Jacalyn Lantrip, age 68, wife of Jimmie L. Lantrip, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday evening, March 21, 2016 at her residence.
A celebration of life service, for people to come and go as they please, will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on October 23, 1947 in Oneonta, New York, Jacalyn was the daughter of Virginia Banser Baxter and the late LaVern Baxter. She worked in cosmetology, massage therapy, and reflexology. She loved making people feel better and look better at the same time. Jacalyn was a very giving person who loved life and people. She lived her life with the passion to help and take care of others. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed reading. Above all, Jacalyn was a supportive wife, mom, and grandma who adored her family and loved her daughters and grandchildren with all of her heart.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by her daughters: Laurie Delk of Columbia, Linda (Jason) Harvey of Houston, TX, Jaime (Scott) Graham of Culleoka; brothers: Jimmy (Pat) Baxter of Blue Island, IL, Tommy (Diane) Baxter of Dallas, TX, Joey (Linda) Baxter of Monee, IL; sister: Peggy Mendoza of Ava, MO; and grandchildren: Laurelle Patmore, McClain, Carynne, and Mason Delk, Brandan, Brooke, Bradley, and Baylea Darby, Jaci May Harvey, and Samantha and Ranger Graham.
