Travis Ladell "Dale" Brown

August 1, 1959 - March 5, 2016

Travis Ladell “Dale” Brown, age 56, resident of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at NHC/Columbia.

Dale was born August 1, 1959 in Lawrenceburg to Shelby Jean Sandrell Brown of Columbia and the late Travis Henry Brown. He was a self employed electrician and a member of Northside Baptist Church. Dale liked to hunt, fish and ride horses. He enjoyed watching old westerns, especially John Wayne movies and he liked all types of music. He was a very happy, jolly person who loved his family and he liked to just get out and go riding.

Funeral service for Dale will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11:00 Am in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Willie McLaurin officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Brown, TC Brown, Kyle Bostelman, Johnny Royce, Steve Taylor and Rocky Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Ted Barnes, Artis Armstrong, Tim “Bimbo” Brown, Albert Wilson, Jim Benish, Wayne Grissom, Staff of Maury Regional Medical and NHC/Columbia, Brown’s Heating and Air.

In addition to his mother, Dale is survived by his sister: Patricia “Tish” (Danny “Tank”) Warren of Columbia; brothers: Charles J. “C.J.” Brown and William “Bill” Brown, both of Columbia; former wife and step-daughter: Samantha Brown and Megan Dickerson, both of Murfreesboro.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his beloved pet: MC Hammer.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Heritage Funeral Home to help with funeral arrangements.
