Elizabeth Davis

May 10, 1936 - February 27, 2016

Mrs. Nellie Elizabeth Davis, age 79, wife of Bobby Davis, and a resident of Westover Drive in Columbia, passed away Saturday evening, February 27, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Adkisson, Bro. Kenneth Jarratt, and Bro. Ronnie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Bridges Cemetery in Hampshire. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on May 10, 1936 in Maury County, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Thomas James Jarratt and the late Dena Belew Jarratt. She was a graduate of Hampshire School and was a member of Elmore Church of the Nazarene. Besides her work as a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. Elizabeth liked going to the beach, camping, and riding motorbikes. She loved her pictures and had many of them. Above everything else, Elizabeth loved the Lord and all of her family.

In addition to her husband, Bobby of 60 years, she is survived by her children: Johnny (Kathey) Davis of Columbia, Bobbie (Bill Basenberg) White of Culleoka, Torrie (Tommy Dale) Blackwood of Columbia, Tommy (Shannon) Davis of Culleoka; brother: William Jarratt of Columbia; grandchildren: Deana (Danny) Russell of Mt. Pleasant, Bridget Davis of Columbia, Tabitha Pope of Columbia, Thomas (Stephanie) Dale of Columbia, Austin Davis of Culleoka, Jesse Davis of Culleoka, Brandon (Sheila) Pope of Hampshire; great-grandchildren: Devante Rogers, Tez Rogers, Demaria Russell, Anthony Pope, Adyson Pope, Kerriann Pope, Michael Pope, Cody Pope, Jason “Nick” Davis, Brionna McMeen; great-great-grandchildren: Serenity Rogers, Christian Harlan; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving companions, her dogs: Booger T, Misty, Dolly, and Taco.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Thomas J. Jarratt and Jessie R. Jarratt.

Pallbearers will be: Cody Pope, Michael Pope, Devante Rogers, Jason “Nick” Davis, Thomas Dale, Jesse Davis, and Austin Davis.

Frenius Medical Care Dialysis Center, Members of Elmore Church of the Nazarene, Dr. Farmer and Staff, Maury Regional Medical Center CCU Department, Bro. R. Gene Hughes, Mike Reese, and David AU will serve as honorary pallbearers.
