Gregory Keith Smith, age 37, a resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center with his family by his side.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lawrence County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Born on May 3, 1978 in Lawrenceburg, Keith was the son of J.W. (Sue) Smith and Pat Peters Smith. He worked as a route salesman for Little Debbie for 12 years. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed collecting swords. Above all else, Keith was a proud father who loved his children and all of his family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children: Jayda, Addison, and Finn Smith; brothers: Jeff (Cherri) Smith of Sparta, Adam Smith of Columbia; step-brother: Michael (Melissa) Lumpkins of Columbia; step-sisters: LeAnn Barnes of Columbia, Brandy (Jason) Morrissey of Denton, TX; paternal grandmother: Lillian Smith of Lawrenceburg; fiancé: Heather Norman of Columbia; several nieces and nephews; many aunts and uncles; and special friends: Nick Wood and his family, Chris, Brenda, and Brian Wood.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Edward Smith; uncles: Tim Smith, Paul Vaughn; and cousin: Dwight Rochelle.

Pallbearers will be: Nick Wood, Brian Wood, Stephen Wunner, Jim Robbins, Jim Foriest, and Lyndon Smith.
