Lonnie McQueen

January 7, 1931 - February 9, 2016

Mr. Lonnie McQueen, age 85, a resident of Ouida Lane in Columbia, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at his home surrounded by family and friends.

An inurnment will be held in Lindsay Cemetery in California at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 7, 1931 in Memphis, Texas, Lonnie was the son of the late Lon L. McQueen and the late Florence Warnecke McQueen. He served his country in the United States Navy and worked as a production manager with Ford Aerospace in Newport Beach, California and Teledyne in Lewisburg, Tennessee.

He is survived by his brother: Curtis (Hazel) McQueen of Lindsay, CA; sisters: Jessie Oakley of Lindsay, CA, Thelma Good of Lindsay, CA, Frances Brinkley of Bakersfield, CA; niece: Regina McClure (Michael Ayers) of Bonsall, CA; nephew: Darryl (Kathy) Medders of Visalia, CA; and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Regina McQueen; and seven other brothers and sisters.
