Mr. Eddie Hensley, age 57, husband of Sherry Hensley, and a resident of Bristow Road in Columbia, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Telford Tharp officiating. Visitation with the family will also be held on Friday from 5:00 PM until the service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on December 21, 1958 in Hohenwald, Eddie was the son of the late Jimmy Edmund Hensley, Sr. and the late Helen McDonald Hensley. He worked many years delivering newspapers for the Daily Herald. Also known as the “Skunkman,” he was the owner of an air freshener business, Scentsations. He collected skunk figurines that were given to him by customers. Eddie enjoyed fishing and raising his goats and chickens. He was an avid animal lover, especially his boxer dogs. In his spare time, Eddie loved endlessly building many different things.
In addition to his wife, Sherry, he is survived by his son: Jeremey Hensley of Columbia; daughters: Jamie Ramirez of California, Sarah (Clint) Pearce of Columbia, Jessica (Blake) Wright of Columbia; sister: Pamela Hensley (Wilbur) Zeal of Illionois; and grandchildren: Destiny Hensley, Jeffrey Pearce, Mason Pearce, Hannah Wright, and McKenzie Wright.
