Betty Runions, age 83, a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Monty McCandless officiating. Burial will follow in Swiss Cemetery in Hohenwald. The family will also receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 12:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 20, 1932 in Maury County, Betty was the daughter of the late Hermon Brown and the late Josie Mae Brown. She was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church and enjoyed going to church. She was a giving person who loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her sister: Mary Etta Estes of Culleoka; grandchildren: Julie Savage of Columbia, Carolyn (Dean) Jones of Hampshire, Stephen (Melissa) Runions of Hohenwald; great-grandchildren: Brian (Kiah) Savage, Holly (Eric) Runions, Chance (Vivian) Jones, Cade Jones, Jake Runions, Cole Runions, great-great-grandchildren: Brysen, Kayden, Liam, Riley, Lane, Murdoc; daughter-in-law: Amy Runions of Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Basil Runions, Sr.; sons: Basil Runions, Jr., Ronnie Presnell, Danny Presnell; brothers: James, Charles, Buddy Allen; and sister: Bess Brown Osborne and Shirley Brown.

Pallbearers will be: Stephen Runions, Phillip Parrish, Brian Savage, Tim Adams, Cade Jones, Chance Jones, and Sam Stills. The members of Faith Pentecostal Church and her nieces and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
